CHRISTINE BONNEFOY

Christine Bonnefoy

Partner, Business lawyer

Christine is our specialist in business law. Her early years as a lawyer were spent in medium‑sized law firms before she joined HSD Ernst & Young, now EY, where her work covered all areas of business law. She advised and assisted clients in a broad range of operations including company formations and takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and new establishments. She monitored clients’ legal affairs in the fields of company law, commercial and economic law, finance and banking law.

In 2006 Christine decided to transpose the values of rigour and excellence from this major business law firm to her own, smaller‑scale law firm with a more individual touch. With dedication and commitment, she made personal contact with clients the foundation for tailored services generating real added value, offering thorough work, availability and a strongly ethical approach.

Keen to share her knowledge, Christine has taught business and company law at university technology institutes and through the national adult training body AFPA for people interested in setting up or taking over a businesses, and company law at top French higher education institute CNAM. She presently teaches regular courses for entrepreneurs through French Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Christine Bonnefoy takes a strategic view: setting out a clear path and framework to reach the desired objectives is the essential ingredient of an effective business law strategy. Every client of Cassiopée Avocats benefits daily from the expertise she has accumulated throughout her career.

Virginie

Virginie Glorieux‑Kergall

Partner, Labour/Social security lawyer

Virginie is our specialist in labour and social security law, and also has significant experience in tax litigation. These areas of expertise have been the cornerstones of her work as a lawyer for 25 years.

Virginie previously worked for various well‑known law firms: first as a trainee, then as a qualified lawyer at Gide Loyrette Nouel, Ginestié et Paley Vincent and Cabinet Conseils Fiscaux Réunis 2CFR (a law firm headed by former tax inspectors). During her time at these firms she gained expertise in legal advice and litigation in labour and social security law, and in tax law.

After obtaining the demanding DJCE (a qualification as corporate legal adviser) from Rennes University, Virginie set up her own law firm in 1998 and has concentrated since then on her two favourite fields of expertise: labour and social security law and tax litigation.

Virginie advises her clientele, which comprises legal entities, individuals, and licensed professionals, on compliance with their professional obligations relating to their corporate office, employment contract or public‑sector employee status, assisting them in all circumstances before industrial tribunals and general and administrative courts. She also assists them in relations with the tax administration and social security organizations when inspections take place, and before the administrative and general courts.

Virginie also develops training modules in labour law and social security litigation that she uses when conducting courses for managers of large and medium‑sized companies, chartered accountants and fellow lawyers.
